Perry the Pear

Perry the pear investigation was really hard to solve, so it all began when me and my class walked in and there was a pear that bleed to death. so we got into a partnership and got a fruit to tack there DNA me and Danielle it's like tacking a DNA test the victim that we where with was gravy grape. so here's the steps how we did it the skin needed to be pealed then cut the DNA for 1 or 2 mins then next we put it in the beaker and add salt and the dish washing liquid. and then next pop it in to the test tube then but it in a water bath. that case was simple to solve because the DNA is in every cell of the body. and that was just a waste of time because graces was not the one who killed him it was the one who looked the most inner sent it was Bob the berry

Hi Journey, I've just read through your three latest blog posts and I really love that there's a running record of your learning in science this year! I have one massive piece of feedback that I hope will improve your writing. What is working well: You tell a lovely, flowing story from start to finish. Something to improve: A sentence should contain just 1 idea, and I think a good way for you to practice this is to have no sentences over 12 words long. For example, the first idea in your first sentence could just have been "Perry the Pear investigation was really hard to solve." That's a great introductory sentence, and it's punchier when it's alone in a sentence. I'm looking forward to seeing you put this in place in your next piece of writing!

Hi Journey
I have been enjoying seeing how much you are developing your science knowledge through your posts and can write knowledgeably about it. Which way do you find easier to learn - a lesson like the murder of Perry the Pear or being taught genetics through teacher talk? Can you say why one is more effective than the other? What else would help in your learning? How will science help in your future learning?
