Te wheke

Our health model is Te Wheke, the octopus which comes from Maori culture and there are many key features about the heath model and they are the head of the octopus which represents Te whanau, the eyes of the octopus represent Wairoa ( total well-being for individual and family) and are based around the social well being

I will apply the Te Wheke model of health to my well being, by spending the weekend with my family and doing outing events on Saturday, and the key feature that was based on my weekend was Wairoa meaning I was not only looking after myself care but my younger brother. So that is how I applied this health model to me.
